Ijeoma Nnamani, MD, FAAP, was born in Enugu, Nigeria to a physician and a pharmacist. She aspired to become a doctor, and in 2001 Dr. Nnamani graduated from the medical school at the University of Nigeria.
Upon graduation from medical school, she served as an intern at the University of Port Harcourt in Nigeria. Dr. Nnamani later went on to work in several clinics and hospitals in Nigeria until her relocation to the United States with her husband and children.
In 2008, she started her Pediatric residency program at the Children’s Hospital of New Jersey. Upon completion of the residency program in 2011, Dr. Nnamani was a fellow with the Pediatric Nephrology fellowship program at UT Southwestern for a brief period before opting to return to the General Pediatrics environment which she missed greatly.
Family time is Dr. Nnamani’s favorite activity outside of her clinic. She and her family love to volunteer at their local church. Dr. Nnamani enjoys water activities, and crafts with her four children and husband. She also loves to read.
Her heart is and has always been to take care of children of all ages, and to strive to provide excellent medical care with compassion for all patients at Ivy Children’s Clinic.
Board Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics, Dr. Nnamani is also a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
